Help the Hills is pleased to present Dr. Steve Taylor, Addiction and Recovery Expert and Medical Director of the Player Assistance Program of the National Basketball Association (NBA) followed by a breakout session. Parents will meet with Dr. Steve for Q &A.
Dr. Steve
Judge Shanta Owens will moderate a session  for teens with a panel of young adults, including Brad Blount, Wilson Barber, and a recent VHHS graduate.

For the past 19 years, Dr. Steve has worked as a licensed, board certified general, child/adolescent, and addiction psychiatrist.  He is also certified by the American Board of Addiction Medicine as a specialist in Addiction Medicine, and has focused his considerable training and expertise, both as a private practitioner and as an educator/presenter, on the specialized care of adolescents and young adults with drug and alcohol abuse and addiction illnesses and general psychiatric disorders.
Help the Hills was formed in an effort to foster open dialogue with parents, educators, and community leaders. Parents are the first line of defense in educating young people and Help the Hills hopes to provide information, tips, and strategies to help parents have those necessary conversations.
