Congratulations to Sandra Cleveland, a long time Chamber member and past board member, who is the first person in Alabama to earn the Certified College Planning Specialist designation. Sandra has served the Vestavia Hills chamber as a vital member of the board of directors for seven years including a term as Vice President of Internal Affairs and a term as Vice President of Education and a director at large. She also served as Treasurer of I Love America Day for 4 years. Sandra is a graduate of Leadership Vestavia Hills and served as Past President and assumed the Citizen of the Year program as part of the Leadership Vestavia Hills. Sandra served as moderator of Vestavia Hills Community Roundtable for three years which was the genesis of the grassroots movement for the development of a master plan for our city. She also served on the Vestavia Hills City Schools Foundation board for five years and several Vestavia Hills schools PTA boards for twelve years.
As a Financial Planner and Investment Advisor specializing in college funding strategies, Sandra has advanced training to help families fund college for their children and grandchildren in the most efficient way. Based on recent costs increases, paying for college could be the single greatest lifetime expense for a family, easily exceeding the cost of their home.
