Current Class Updates

Alabama Lieutenant Governor

Will Ainsworth

Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall

Alabama Lieutenant Governor Will Ainsworth and Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall will join other city, county and regional elected officials for LVH Government Day on February 5, to be held in the Council Chambers at Vestavia Hills City Hall.

Education Day was held in January and Vestavia Hills City Schools Superintendent Dr. Todd Freeman graciously spent the day guiding the class through highlights from Vestavia Hills High School, Dolly Ridge Elementary, Cahaba Heights Elementary, Liberty Park Elementary and Liberty Park Middle Schools. Character Education and STEM took a front seat that day, with Freeman showcasing how intentionality behind programming at our schools is the catalyst for the success of our students. The class enjoyed learning about STEM, how all students benefit from the programming and the need for more STEM.

Economic Development Day was held in December and featured local and regional officials and business leaders discussing challenges, successes and transformative projects in Vestavia Hills and the Birmingham region. Joining Vestavia Hills City Manager Jeff Downes as speaker that day were Michelle Hawkins and Donnie Dobbins of the Vestavia Hills Chamber of Commerce; Cinnamon McCulley, with the City of Vestavia; John Bonanno of Daniel Communities and Liberty Park; Tom Walker of Village Creek Development; Steve Ammons, with the Birmingham Business Alliance; Nicole Newell, of The J.M. Smucker Co.; Bill Smith, of Landing and Shipt; and Brian Wolfe, with Corporate Realty.
