LVH Nomination & Selection Process

Each year, LVH accepts nominations for candidates to its leadership program. Current class members and alumni of the program are encouraged to nominate individuals who have exhibited leadership qualities and have shown a genuine concern for enhancing the quality of life in Vestavia Hills and the Greater Birmingham community. In addition, LVH invites other community organizations to nominate individuals as candidates for the program.

Multiple nominations are encouraged. Please give as much information about the nominee as possible and inform the individual of the nomination. The LVH Selection Committee will contact the nominees and request that each candidate submit an application for the program. Subsequent to a review of the submitted applications, the Selection Committee members compile a list of approximately 20-24 candidates to present to the LVH Board of Directors for approval.

Participants of LVH are expected to attend all scheduled classes (8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.) from September to April, miss no more than one class day, and complete a group project on the final day in order to graduate.

Upon receipt of the nomination form, LVH will retain the form in our files until the Selection Committee begins processing nominations to distribute applications. Candidates should complete the application and return it to LVH by the nomination deadline. If you have questions, please feel free to contact Tyler Kime, president of LVH, at info@leadershipvestaviahills.com, or Sam Duffey, chair of the Recruitment/Selection Committee, at sdduffey@gmail.com.

Thank you for your interest in LVH.

Nominations are currently being accepted for 2022.
